Accounts Receivable Specialist

Our client is a 40 year young leading provider of electronic manufacturing services(EMS), design engineering and supply chain solutions in the high-tech industrial, medical device, and aerospace/defense markets. They are looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist for their Chatsworth location. As an AR Specialist, you are responsible for the collection of outstanding accounts receivables from existing client base, ensuring resolution of customer billing issues and overall reducing receivable delinquencies.
Location: Chatsworth, CA
Salary: $23.00 - 27.00/hr (DOE)
This is a full time, temporary position for a 6-8 week project
Responsibilities:
- Review open accounts for collection and past due invoices.
- Make outbound collection calls in a professional manner, maintaining and improving customer relations.
- Mail customers to encourage payments of delinquent accounts.
- Research and resolve deductions, disputes, discrepancies
- Post sales invoices after product shipments.
- Verify validity of account discrepancies by working with project management and sales.
- Reconcile customer prepayment subsidiary ledger at month end and research differences.
- Review accounts receivable aging report and make recommendations for write-offs or chargebacks.
- Prepare AR write-off requests for approval by management.
- Maintain documentation for the collectability of accounts and the substantiation of the bad debt reserve.
- Promote and maintain professional, service-oriented relationships with internal and external customers.
- Associate degree in accounting or related field is preferred
- 5+ years of experience in credit & collections
- Experience working with an ERP system
- A strong customer service mindset.
- Ability to build positive relationships and strive to understand customer's needs, both internal and external.
- Excellent communicator, both verbal and written.
- Strong interpersonal skills.Comfortable interacting and working with all levels of customers.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Analytical and problem solving skills.
Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $23.00 - $27.00 Per Hour
