Job Duties and Qualifications Candidates will be responsible for geophysical interpretation, mapping, and regional geological and geophysical studies. We require self-starters who can integrate seamlessly into the current exploration team organization, interpret and integrate different 2D and 3D (onshore or offshore) seismic datasets. Interpretation-oriented geophysicist with experience in seismic interpretation at basin, play, prospect, and field levels.

Experience with 2D and 3D interpretation in both high-density and sparse data environments.

Skilled in geological interpretation of seismic data including complex structural settings.

A working understanding of seismic acquisition and processing and its impact on data confidence and the interpretation process.

Assume primary responsibility for seismic description of the subsurface (overburden, reservoir and underburden). Including (but not limited to) mapping surfaces, generating, and interpreting attributes, understanding, and communicating the strengths and limitations of the current datasets, and recommending new data or reprocessing as warranted.

Develop models and create visual representations of the subsurface, using software and other analytical tools.

Develop and maintain geophysical databases and records for future reference and analysis.

Stay current with the latest developments in geophysical technology and techniques.

Generate prognosis (lithologic and fluid) with associated depth uncertainty for appropriate surfaces and faults.

Identify potential subsurface-related drilling issues using seismic analysis, offset well information, and any additional data sources available.

Integration with pore pressure specialists to determine drilling margin with use of seismic velocities and geologic descriptions.

Write technical reports, prepare presentations, and present findings to stakeholders and clients.

Project management skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently and meet critical deadlines.

Creative thinker with a desire to challenge the status quo and conventional thinking with the ability to implement new ideas, processes and technologies.

Team player with strong interpersonal skills and experience in a multi-disciplinary team environment.

Possess analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to make technically and economically sound recommendations with incomplete information.

Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex material effectively.

Qualifications: Completion of an undergraduate degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) discipline, and

A minimum of 8 years of experience required.
