As a Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Stop Loss Insurance, you will play a crucial role in developing and executing strategic marketing plans to promote our stop loss insurance products. Priorities of this role include identification of growth opportunities, building new relationships with key producer partners, and retention of existing customers and relationships. This position requires a deep understanding of the stop loss insurance industry, including captive insurance structures, and the ability to effectively communicate the value proposition of our products and services to our target audience.
This position may be remote, or on-site in our Beverly, Massachusetts office. Traveling is required for producer meetings, events, and conferences.
Primary Responsibilities:
Cultivate and maintain relationships with key business partners, including brokers, consultants, TPAs, and industry associations, to enhance our market presence and drive business development opportunities. Generate and manage a strong pipeline of accounts and new distribution opportunities with the goal of meeting or exceeding annual new business premium and profitability goals and renewal retention goals.
Provide support and assistance to underwriters by requesting data, documentation, and competitive feedback from production partners, as needed. Collaborate with underwriters to execute sales strategies for shared producer partners.
Lead market research efforts to identify key trends, competitive insights, and opportunities for growth within the stop loss insurance market. Analyze marketing metrics and performance data to monitor and make data-driven decisions to optimize marketing efforts.
Collaborate with key internal departments to develop targeted marketing materials that effectively communicate the value proposition of our products to potential clients.
Stay up to date of industry developments, regulatory changes, and emerging trends related to stop loss insurance to inform marketing strategies and product development initiatives.
Coordinate travel to meet with current and prospective partners, attend relevant conferences, and engage in presentation opportunities.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Minimum of 10 years of sales experience, with a focus on health insurance, preferably in the stop loss insurance industry.
Demonstrated history of meeting or exceeding annual new business goals.
Strong relationship management skills and experience generating new sales leads.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively articulate complex concepts to both internal and external stakeholders.
Highly analytical, with a data-driven approach to decision-making and a strong attention to detail.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and effectively prioritize competing demands.
