The Barrington Area Library is seeking a full-time Finance Manager.The individual is responsible for managing the fiscal operations and day-to-day finances of the Library and its $9 million budget. The Finance Manager provides financial direction and accountability for the Librarys capital through compliance with current regulations, policies, procedures, and generally accepted accounting practices. This individual oversees and maintains accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, bank reconciliation, investment accounts, and tax payments. The Finance Manager processes payroll, prepares financial statements, coordinates the annual budget, and oversees the annual audit.

Requirements and Skills:
The best applicants will have a Bachelors degree with a major in Accounting, Finance, or other related field, or equivalent work experience. At least five (5) or more years of relevant experience is preferred. Prior experience in governmental accounting is ideal. Knowledge of governmental accounting, budgeting, cost control procedures, auditing practices and generally accepted accounting principles is required. Knowledge and skills with various software programs (financial software, Human Resources Information Systems, and Microsoft Office tools) is beneficial.
Hybrid Work Schedule:
This position allows for a hybrid work schedule. Some work may be done remotely for this position.
Hours, Salary and Benefits:
This is a full-time (37.5 hours per week), salary position. Annual salary of $80,000 depending on qualifications. Skills, experience, and internal equity will determine offer made. In exchange for your time and talent, we offer a generous benefit package that includes:
