Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer **For Immediate Consideration please apply directly to this posting and email your resume to habels@actalentservices.com** Job Description Senior Mechanical Engineer will be a key member of the project development/execution team and responsible for hands-on engineering expertise in the development of a variety of electromechanical assemblies for government customers. The candidate will oversee a project and project schedule while working hands-on together with the R&D team on prototype builds, testing, and analysis.- Design mechanical parts and assemblies with around 100-500 parts in SolidWorks and work closely with electrical and chemical engineers- Follow Mil-Std requirements in the design process- Create 2D drawings in SolidWorks and design for manufacturing- Maintain organized SolidWorks part and assembly files, with experience with PDM preferred- Serve as project manager for complete projects- Maintain an up-to-date BOM for assemblies- Lead prototype builds and work hands-on with the team- Work directly with vendors and with the purchasing department to procure prototype componentsHard SkillsSolidWorks expert2D and 3D drawingsDesign for manufacturingConceptual developmentMechanical engineeringMechanical designElectro-mechanical designNew product developmentNew product introductionProject managementProject engineeringPrototype buildJob TypeThis is a permanent position.Work SiteThis is a fully on-site position in Tustin, California.Work EnvironmentLeading provider of cutting-edge aerospace and military technologies.
