The full-time Account Executive position is responsible for supporting the development and implementation of complex public relations and strategic communications programs and other responsibilities including but not limited to:

Responsibilities

  • Serve as day-to-day client contact
  • Creating client materials including press releases, media pitches, talking points, FAQs
  • Conducting media relations to secure coverage in print, broadcast, radio, web and blogs
  • Managing project status reports and editorial calendars
  • Understanding / ability to manage advertising, marketing and digital campaigns
  • Developing social media content
  • Researching editorial calendars, speaking opportunities, media lists and other topics
  • PR and social media management and measurement
  • Special event planning
  • Attending meetings/events after hours on occasion
  • Editing and proofreading

Qualifications

  • 3 years experience at a public relations agency or in-house client experience
  • Track record of securing media coverage for clients
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Eagerness and ability to conduct media relations follow-up calls and pitch editors/reporters./bloggers
  • Strong interpersonal skills and be able to work independently with multiple active projects
  • Ability to anticipate and solve problems quickly
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and with a sense of urgency
  • Strong organizational skills and follow-through
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Proficiency with social media / digital marketing understands trends and latest technologies and has experience contributing to campaigns
