Job Description
A.J. Boggs & Company (AJBoggs) is seeking a Project Manager (PM) in our Okemos office to lead projects involving agile software development, security compliance, and network infrastructure. The PM will coordinate Lifia® and IXN® product delivery, including change management, customer service, risk management, scheduling and budgeting, contract management, product configuration, systems integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT) using project management methodologies (PMM). We are seeking a PM with exceptional requirements analysis and customer relationship management skills.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead client-facing activities, including guiding clients to adopt successful solutions:
    • Lead scrum, infrastructure, and security operations center Teams
    • Set priorities and develop project plans
    • Gather user stories, system inputs/outputs, data models, business rules, security, and other system requirements
    • Work with business and technical subject matter experts to analyze requirements, including data modeling and process mapping
  • Lead Product teams to implement new features and other valuable initiatives
    • Facilitate Sprint planning with Product Owners in Agile software (Scrum) processes
    • Coordinate projects for infrastructure management and security programs
  • Provide front-line customer support to clients throughout life of engagement as follows:
    • Coordinate communications, manage expectations, and prepare proposals
    • Utilize PMI PMBOK to organize, prioritize, and lead projects, including management of operations, scope, schedule, risk, budget, issues, and quality
    • Promote our commitment to client missions through performance consistent with their organizational values
    • Maintain a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations as well as client contracts, policies, and procedures to ensure adherence in an honest, ethical, and professional manner
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • One or more years of experience performing product management or business analysis
  • Two or more years of experience leading agile software development projects
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Solid organizational skills, including leadership, attention to detail, and multi-tasking
  • Logical, decisive, proactive, and action-oriented
  • Provide structure and discern priorities in situations with high levels of ambiguity and competing requests for resources
  • Proficient in the use of all Microsoft Office applications and Microsoft Project
  • Project Management Professional (PMP), PMI-ACP certification preferred
  • Basic understanding of information systems and security infrastructure
dESIRABLE Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in the fields of computer science, business, or communications
  • Knowledge of web-based software application implementations
  • Experience managing complex data migration projects
  • Professional certifications: CMS, PMP, CAPM, CISSP, CISA, CCBA, CCMP, AgileBA, or AgilePM
  • Experience with any of these: Ryan White Programs, NIST 800-53/18, HIPAA, and HITECH security
  • Experience with software product development or judicial information or public health systems

Location

This position is full-time in Okemos, Michigan. At times, this position requires travel, long hours, and weekend work. Travel is expected to be 25% out-of-area and overnight across the USA, for example to Columbus Ohio, District of Columbia, and Des Moines Iowa.
