NOMADICS is actively seeking a skilled and innovative Chemical/Propellant Engineer to enhance our talented team, with a specialized focus on propellant development for munitions. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in formulating, testing, and refining chemical compositions and propellant systems, playing a vital role in the advancement of munitions technology. Your creative solutions and technical acumen will be key to our project successes, propelling our mission to new heights.Responsibilities:Develop and refine chemical formulations and propellant systems, with a particular emphasis on advancing munitions technology.Conduct comprehensive research to determine the most effective materials, chemical compounds, and manufacturing processes for propellant projects.Utilize specialized software to model chemical reactions and predict the performance of propellant compounds under various conditions.Perform rigorous testing of chemical formulations and propellant systems to ensure they meet the high-performance and safety standards required for munitions.Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, chemists, and project stakeholders to meet and exceed project goals.Offer expert technical guidance and troubleshooting support to manufacturing and production teams in the scaling and implementation of propellant systems.Keep abreast of the latest trends and innovations in chemical engineering and propellant technology, applying this knowledge to drive forward our initiatives.Qualifications:Bachelors degree in chemical engineering, Chemistry, or a closely related field, with a strong emphasis on propellants or energetic materials.Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly preferred.A minimum of 2 years of direct experience in chemical engineering, specifically with a focus on propellant or energetic materials development.Proficient in the use of simulation and modeling software relevant to chemical processes and propellant development.Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, especially in the context of chemical engineering and propellant development challenges.Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.Must be a U.S. Citizen.#J-18808-Ljbffr
