Position Title: Construction Manager - Renewable Energy 

Job Description:

Overview:

As a Construction Manager for our esteemed renewables company specializing in wind farms, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating the construction activities of our wind farm and solar projects. You will lead a team of professionals and work closely with various stakeholders to ensure the successful completion of projects within budget, schedule, and safety parameters.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning and Scheduling:

- Develop detailed construction plans and schedules in collaboration with project managers and engineering teams.

- Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.

2. Site Management:

- Oversee all on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and project specifications.

- Monitor progress, resolve issues, and implement necessary changes to keep construction on track.

3. Team Leadership and Coordination:

- Lead and mentor construction teams, including site supervisors, foremen, and laborers, to ensure efficient and effective project execution.

- Foster a culture of safety, quality, and teamwork among all project personnel.

4. Budget and Cost Control:

- Manage project budgets and expenditures, tracking costs and identifying opportunities for cost savings.

- Review and approve subcontractor invoices and change orders in accordance with project budgets.

5. Quality Assurance and Compliance:

- Implement quality control measures to ensure that construction activities meet industry standards and project requirements.

- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address any non-compliance issues.

6. Stakeholder Management:

- Liaise with clients, regulatory agencies, and local communities to address concerns, obtain necessary permits, and maintain positive relationships throughout the project lifecycle.

- Communicate project progress, milestones, and challenges to internal and external stakeholders as needed.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (Master's degree preferred).

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management, with a focus on renewable energy projects, particularly wind farms.

- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects from inception to completion.

- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve project goals.

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

- Knowledge of relevant industry regulations, codes, and standards.

- Certification in construction management (e.g., PMP, CCM) is a plus.
