The Opportunity:

The Partnership Marketing Associate will assist in all aspects of the marketing partnership activation and account management for the Memphis Grizzlies, FedExForum, and Memphis Hustle. This individual will focus on providing support and best-in-class service from the onboarding, activation, and recapping of all partner relationships.

Additional responsibilities will include interdepartmental process management, working with the Activation team on department specific projects, and direct assistance in research/assessment processes for marketing partners throughout the contracted term.

In This Role You Will:
  • Provide general support to the Activation team in their day-to-day account management.
  • Research and develop league and industry best practices to help strengthen existing partnerships as well as new business.
  • Assist with game and event night duties including the execution of in-game experiences/promotions, assisting with partner activations and presenting nights, game day scheduling, swag bag creation, etc.
  • Assist the build-out of Mid-Season, End of Season, and Special Event recaps.
  • Schedule monthly photography shoots and assist with requesting and sorting proof of performance photos/videos from in-arena activations, broadcast, and Grizzlies social channels.
  • Assist in managing inventory and proper upkeep of Partnership Marketing storage spaces.
  • Work alongside activation team with clients as needed.
  • Assist with broadcast support as needed.
  • Assist with partner gifting planning and fulfillment.
  • Other duties as assigned.
The Experience You Will Bring:
  • In pursuit of a Bachelors degree from an accredited university.
  • Demonstrated organizational and logistics management capabilities, excellent communication skills (oral and written), relationship-building abilities, time management skills, and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated skills in brainstorming objectives, goals, and opportunities.
  • High level of business acumen, creative problem-solving abilities, strategic thinking, and professionalism.
  • Ability to establish effective client and interdepartmental relationships and drive business objectives.
  • Capacity to work a varied schedule to include evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed, as well as multi-task in a fast-paced environment and willingness to travel.
  • Tremendous teamwork and collaborative spirit coupled with the ability to work independently.
  • Able to work up to 28 hours each week in part-time capacity in accordance with department scheduling needs.

Nice to Have:

  • Previous experience in sports management (specific experience with partnership marketing is a plus).
