Management JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a Sr. Director of Infrastructure Security and Automation to support our worldwide software engineering solutions on AWS, Azure, and Ali cloud. This technical leader will serve as the Technical Product Manager for cloud infrastructure automation and security. The Sr. Director must be well-versed in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automated pattern-based deployments, and self-service through different channels. This leader must have a solid understanding of cloud security principles and the ability to automate security guardrails. This is a critical role as we transform core platforms and digital applications on modern cloud infrastructure. CANDIDATE PROFILE Required Experience and Education: BS in computer science/related field or equivalent experience 10+ years in technical and architectural leadership on cloud platform, automation, DevSecOps 2+ years’ experience with major cloud hosting service providers, with focus on AWS 4+ years’ experience with high-availability and disaster recovery implementations 5+ years of people leadership experience Required Attributes Effectively align engineering practices with organizational strategy Lead the development of resilient, high-performing platforms Strong automation and problem-solving skills Propose and implement scalable automation solutions Work well under pressure Work in Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Preferred: Graduate Degree in a technical discipline Demonstrated ability to manage a portfolio of bets Comfortable applying qualitative and quantitative methods Ability to build strong relationships and network Experience in the design and operational support of mission-critical products CORE WORK ACTIVITIES Establish the vision and strategy for DevSecOps products Functions as technical expert and futurist Advises on emerging technologies Designs and implements pattern-based standardized deployments Identifies automation opportunities Designs and implements a standard service catalog Identifies new automation opportunities People Management Identifies key skills needed Partners with HR to recruit and develop talent Communicates effectively to ensure alignment Builds a culture of engineering excellence Managing Projects and Priorities Develops goals and plans Determines priorities and necessary resources Analyzes information and evaluates results Champions leaders’ vision for product and service delivery Managing and Conducting Human Resources Activities Interviews and hires employees Promotes fair treatment of employees Sets goals and expectations for staff Utilizes feedback and reviews employee satisfaction Marriott International is an equal opportunity employer.
