A nonprofit workforce development organization based, in Cleveland, OH, is starting their search for Summer Eligibility Specialists This rewarding program assists students in their growth and readies them to start working after they complete school. 

This is a temporary position that lasts from April through August.

Eligibility Specialists Responsibilities:

  • Must have experience in customer service and strong data entry skills. This person should also have experience with databases, spreadsheets, and word processing.
  • Enter accurate and complete information into database management systems.
  • Assist applicant/families with all aspects of program enrollment including completion of application
  • paperwork, work permit process, health exams, and employment forms as needed.
  • Host daily validation appointments for up to 7 applicant/families per day to assist with the completion of
  • application paperwork and the collection of required documentation to verify eligibility.
  • Create and maintain accurate program files; routinely assist with correcting and updating files based on
  • second and/or third level review.

Eligibility Specialists Requirements:

  • Associates degree or higher preferred
  • Experience working alongside children, students, youth is a plus
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office programs and have experience with databases, spreadsheets, and word processing
  • Must have valid transportation to/from offices, partner organizations, and other community based locations to meet with clients
