As a professional services firm that provides consulting and advisory services to clients, Vintun works to improve operational efficiency and to accomplish organizational objectives as well as serves as a leading provider for information services and business management services to the Federal Government. Vintun is headquartered in Alexandria, VA with client support offices in San Diego and Hawaii. Vintun is seeking a forward-thinking Senior Estimator/CTC Developer to join our team in support of our Army Materiel Command (AMC)/United States Army Environmental Command (USAEC) contract, supporting tasks in the areas of cost to complete estimates, financial management, business process improvement, internal control management, and audit response and remediation relating to Environmental & Disposal Liabilities (E&DL) audit readiness initiatives. The potential candidate should have experience in supporting both financial management and DoD audit readiness initiatives, and/or E&DL related fields. The candidate will play a critical role in supporting installations to write Cost to Complete (CTC) estimates. This Position is 100% Remote Telework. Applicant will be expected to accommodate core hours as delineated by the Project Manager. Occasional travel may be required to conduct training.
Assist the client with end-to-end Environmental & Disposal Liabilities (E&DL) audit readiness initiatives.
Work with installation POCs to gather documentation used to support the development of clean up packages.
Ability to interpret feasibility studies, decision documents, contracts, and other supporting documentation.
Apply fundamental audit principles to concepts, processes, practices, and procedures of Environmental & Disposal Liabilities.
Assist with Environmental & Disposal Liabilities financial reporting data calls and year over year variance analysis.
Assist with comparative analysis and justification of fiscal year requirements and the environmental cost estimates to assist with accuracy and integrity of budget justifications and other various environmental data submissions.
Contribute to deliverables and performance metrics where applicable.
Knowledge of or ability to learn cost estimating software.
3 years experience with environmental cleanup and CTC estimates or 3 years of experience with either federal financial management or DoD audit readiness.
~ S. in Environmental OR Business/Financial/Accounting fields. strong data/time management and organizational skills; Proficient in MS Office and Adobe.
S. in any form of Environmental Science/Related field OR Hazardous Materials Cleanup/Disposal.
Experience with DoD financial statement audit, internal control testing or analysis, and coordinating with external auditors.
Knowledge of Army financial management policies, systems, and procedures.
Knowledge of the Comprehensive Environmental Resource, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA), the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), and other environmental policy.
Working knowledge of Environmental Database of Record.
Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen. There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work, walking moderate to long distance may be required.
