Director of Clinical Tech and Practice Development

Empath Home Health, a member of Empath Health, is seeking a Director of Clinical Technology and Practice Development. The Director of Clinical Technology and Practice Development is a full-time staff member who assumes the lead clinical responsibility for all software applications and technology initiatives across the Home Health Division, currently including Home Health, Empath Therapies, and Personal Care. This role serves as clinical liaison expert to the Home Health leadership team, Compliance, Quality & Service Excellence and Information Technology Departments for all regulatory, Electronic Medical Records (EMR), and all other clinical applications.
The Director of Clinical Technology and Practice Development
Collaborate with Home Health Division Leader and division location leadership teams in the development of the Strategic Plan and policies and procedures.
Ensure the timely achievement of the Strategic Plan.
Maintains a comprehensive knowledge of Accreditation Standards, State and Federal regulations to plan for practice change that meets all regulations.
Participate in the writing, reviewing, and revising of patient care policies, guidelines and procedures for customer satisfaction, evidence based clinical practice and to meet all regulatory standards within the EMR.
Identify EMR budget needs in collaboration with Home Health Division Leader and Finance Department.
Serve as a resource to supervisory staff in educating office and field staff.
Assist in the development and implementation of staffing patterns and retention efforts.
Serve as a liaison between Home Health Division leadership, Information technology, Compliance, Quality and Service Excellence to assure consistency of mission and values actions that assure innovative, excellent patient care practice and consistently meet the scrutiny of all regulators
Develops and monitors cohesive plans for the interconnectedness of EMR technology and standardized clinical processes, including implementation in new Home Health service areas.
Develops and leads Telehealth, Artificial Intelligence and virtual reality implementation across Home Health Division.
Monitors potential rule changes and provides input directly or through Federal/State Associations to changes impacting Home Health and regulatory practice.
Requirements:
Education and/or Experience :
Bachelor of Science in a clinical field from four-year college or university (master’s preferred); or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Two years Home Health clinical experience
Minimum of 3 years in a supervisory/management role
Demonstrated expertise in Accreditation standards, Federal and State rules for Home Health or similar healthcare entity.
Proficient in use of clinical technology applications including EMR, telehealth applications and other future platforms.
Licensure :
Clinical Professional licensed to practice in the State of Florida
