MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or GED Certificate.
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field.
4 years of experience in SAP systems administration.
Valid Driver's License (subject to motor vehicle record review).
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES:
Performs system management for SAP S/4HANA including servers and host systems. Manages and maintains all servers in SAP landscape and clustered environment, ensuring that each server has 100% uptime. The Production environment runs on VMware with HA clusters on TDI 5 while the non-Production environment runs on the Nutanix Hyperconverged Infrastructure.
Manages the daily operations, implementation of technology roadmaps, standards, and lifecycle management for across various SAP landscapes.
Analyzes SAP system configuration and compiles statistics for performance tuning optimization.
Creates and maintains SAP system flowcharts, documentation, procedures, and hardware inventories.
Maintains and monitors SAP system performance. Monitors system logs and activities of SAP servers and devices also using Solution Manager.
Troubleshoots problems with networks, web services, and overall aspects of SAP solution.
Maintains and updates hardware maintenance agreements and system lifecycles.
Plans, designs, and coordinates the installation of SAP system software and hardware; Coordinate with other IT departments to schedule releases of software updates.
Plans and participates in the upgrades of the SAP application software, both Enhancement Pack (EHP) upgrade and version upgrade.
Manage and administrate all operating systems and their corresponding or associated software.
Cooperates with Security and GRC Team to assure that each system is protected from intrusion of software and hardware.
Communicates with service and maintenance entities to determine the cause of system equipment failure and applies repairs and fixes.
Oversee installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of SAP servers.
Installs and configures SAP printer systems.
Distributes and monitors SAP server storage space allotments.
Understands and updates business continuance plan for SAP operating systems, databases, networks, servers, SAP software applications, and non-SAP supporting applications.
Provides on-call technical support during and after hours as part of our On-Call First Responder Team for SAP systems. Provides technical assistance and training to other department staff.
Analyze SAP system and application usage and plan for growth or increases in system capacity.
Assesses need for any system reconfigurations (minor significant) and executes them if required.
Interacts and negotiates with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure software products and services.
Develops, implements, and maintains policies, procedures for SAP system administration and appropriate use.
Establishes service level agreements with end users in consultation with IT management and the business stakeholders.
Administer and maintain SAP end user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
Perform network and security audits working in collaboration with the network team and the GRC Team.
Monitors and tests server software performance and provide statistics and reports.
Recommends, schedules, and performs software improvements, upgrades, and purchases.
Attend and actively participate in division and department meetings.
Submits various reports such as monthly report, weekly report, and outage report.
Provides advance technical assistance, support and troubleshooting in the resolution of SAP system communication failures and conflicts.
Prepares or assists with the preparation of scheduled and/or ad hoc statistical narrative reports; performs information gathering and analysis and/or forecasting, as specifically directed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
