This kind of work typically includes the configuration and troubleshooting of complex network, security, and cloud hosted services and the development of supporting documentation. ResponsibilitiesProvide remote implementation support and administrationMay provide on-site datacenter equipment installationWork directly with LightEdge Solutions clients to determine project requirementsIdentify, correct, and advise on incidents related to client servicesEscalate service requests and incidents when required to engineers on teamEffectively communicate project status to Project Managers and clientDeployment of network, systems, software, and security in accordance with Engineers' environment design.Complete all design documentation, including equipment configuration, quickly and completelyfollowing a project completionEnsure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriatelyProvide quality assurance review for service delivery team peers before service releaseMinimum 40 hours/week requiredOther duties as assignedSkills & ExperienceAssociate degree in Information Technology, a related discipline, relevant certifications, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience will be considered2+ years and a fundamental understanding in one or more of the following areas of expertise: o Networking - routers, switches, etc. o Security - hardware & software firewalls, load balancers, etc. o Virtualization - VMware (preferred), HyperV, Kubernetes, etc. o Storage / Backups - image / agent based, iSCSI provisioning, etc.Experience working in a datacenter or managed service provider a plusStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsExperience working and opening trouble tickets with vendors and / or telecom carriersExcellent communication and interpersonal skills for work in a collaborative team environmentCapable of managing multiple projects simultaneouslyAbility to multi-task and operate with minimal supervision, adjusting priorities accordinglyAble to maintain professional demeanor under stressDemonstrated willingness to learn and adapt to changes in technologyWith over 20 years in business, LightEdge offers a full stack of best-in-class IT services delivering flexibility, security, and control.
