Participating in special projects and initiatives and performs special assignments that relate to international trade. Researching and determining or recommending appropriate actions that impact an agency. Assisting senior analysts in providing trade advice and guidance to customers and other government agencies to ensure enforcement of trade laws. You qualify for the GS-13 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: Analyzing results of trade trends and enforcement operations for risk and program effectiveness. Participating in collaborative efforts with others to assist in project completion. Using computer systems and data analytics to identify areas of risk in global supply chains. Evaluating reports by analyzing facts and performing research and preparing detailed responses relating to trade issues. Conducting trade analysis to enforce policy, collect accurate revenue, and protect the U.S. economy and consumers from unsafe imports and/or unfair trade practices. Requirements: Meet all qualification requirements, including education if applicable to this position, subject to verification at any stage of the application process. Meet all applicable Time in Grade requirements (current federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent grade band in the federal service) by 08/08/2024. Background Investigation: U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is a federal law enforcement agency that requires all applicants to undergo a thorough background investigation prior to employment in order to promote the agency's core values of vigilance, service to country, and integrity.
