Job Summary: The Groups and Military Program Assistant Manager is responsible for partnering with the Groups and Military Program Senior Manager in planning, developing, and implementing all custom group and military-related experiences. This position involves administrative and programmatic responsibilities primarily focusing on program implementation, scheduling, risk management, training, and excellent customer service. A primary function of this and every other job at the National Ability Center is to ensure that each member, guest, and visitor of the National Ability Center receives the highest caliber of service. Essential Duties: · Plans, implements, and evaluates experiences for custom groups, families, and service members. · Fills in as Manager on Duty when necessary for the Program Team. · Oversees the scheduling and coordination of the lodge, facilities, vehicles, and equipment for groups. · Administrative responsibilities include participant recruitment, collection of participant information, scheduling of group facilitators, time clock approvals, and other program-related information and assignments. · Works with Reservations Team to ensure lodge bookings, catering needs, paperwork, and waivers are prepared for group arrival. · Serves as a group lead for internally recruited retreats granted by NAC donors. · Staff supervision responsibilities include support with hiring, training, and scheduling of group facilitators, providing staff feedback, managing staff hours, and performing seasonal evaluations. · Implements and supervises safety/risk management protocols. · Programmatic responsibilities include attending seasonal training, facilitating programs as needed for groups, and acting as a backup for the program team. · Fills in for Group Facilitators' job duties when necessary. · Responsible for helping the facilities team with any necessary tasks to improve customer satisfaction and safety (i.e. shoveling snow, cleaning the kitchen, grocery store runs, taking out trash, etc.) · On-call duties when assigned, including nights and weekends. · All other duties as assigned. Requirements Minimum Qualifications: · Basic understanding of NAC’s populations served. · A passion for outdoor recreation skiing/snowboarding and mountain biking. · Excellent communication and organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities. · A minimum of 2 years of supervisory responsibilities. · Current first aid and CPR certification, or willing to obtain. · Ability to safely drive a 15-passenger Van and/or Bus; obtain UDOT physical. · Must be able to work a varied work schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays. Preferred Qualifications: · Experience working in adaptive recreation. · Experience working with Microsoft applications. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: · Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities. · Demonstrated ability to work productively and collaboratively within a team. · Flexible with a strong work ethic and an entrepreneurial spirit to accommodate multiple responsibilities and shifting priorities. · Ability to work well with others, motivate team members, and build a culture of support. · Demonstrated history of responsibility, dependability, and maturity. · Ability to positively receive and provide job coaching for personal development. · Proficiency with MS Office and experience with database management. · Experience with Sales Force and/or Hands-On-Connect is a plus. · Commitment to a positive, fun, and team-oriented working environment.
