Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Camp, Community, and Education Sr. Manager, the Camp Program Manager is responsible for developing, planning, coordinating, and implementing programming for camps, and supporting community and group programs.
Camp Program Manager must have the ability to communicate with people from diverse backgrounds, abilities, and experiences. A primary role of this and every other job at the National Ability Center is to ensure that each member, guest, and visitor of the National Ability Center receives the highest caliber service.

Requirements
Major Tasks and Responsibilities
· Develop, plan, organize, coordinate, and evaluate camps programs in line with the organization’s Strategic Plan and Annual Goals. This will include staff scheduling, travel planning, transportation, overnight accommodations, meals, program, and community partner scheduling, etc.
· Conduct and maintain current documentation, including Camp approvals, attendance, allocations, participant assessments, behavior plans, progress notes, evaluations, statistics and generate reports as required.
· Work with internal departments including Marketing, Reservations, and Program Team on program promotion and recruitment of both staff, interns, volunteers, and camper registration.
· Support the Summer Camp Assistant Supervisor and the Volunteer Coordinator with development of volunteer resources, including training and scheduling.
· Co-Manage the camp annual budget with the Camps, Community, and Education Sr. Manager.
· Develop annual goals aligned with organization strategic plan and budget accordingly.
· Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate seasonal and part time staff, volunteers, and interns.
· Implement and supervise safety/risk management protocols in a caring and fun environment for participants, volunteers, and staff.
· Support in implementation of Transition, Community, and Education programs. This may include and is not limited to working with PC ALL, local special education classes, supporting community events, disability education, and COACH intern supervision.
· Support in implementation and coordination with group, recreation and adventure, and internal training programs during the off-season (October – March)
· Participate fully as a member of the National Ability Center Administrative Staff Team
· Comply with National Ability Center safety and health policies and procedures.
· Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Qualifications
· Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist preferred
· Ability to consistently lift, carry, and load adaptive and other sports equipment weighing 50 pounds, and, occasionally, more.
· Ability to work in the outdoors under variable weather conditions for extended periods of time
· Bachelor’s Degree in adaptive or therapeutic recreation or recreation management, or a closely related field
· Minimum 2 years of increasing responsibilities in adaptive program coordination and experience working with varied adaptive equipment
· Previous experience supervising a team
· Experience with behavior management with various ages and abilities
· Occasional weekend, holiday, and after-hours work required
· Valid Driver’s License; must verify own auto insurance.
· Utah Food-Handlers Permit
· Current CPR and First Aid training (or higher)
· Pass a Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) physical and gain approval for driving the National Ability Center’s fleet of accessible vehicles (15-passenger buses with wheelchair lift systems)
· Must pass employment background check every two years
· Proficiency in basic computer programs such as MS Office, Paylocity, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Salesforce experience a plus
