Job Summary The Project Manager will be a member of the Global Technology & Investment team located at Site Toledo, with a focus on Site Toledo capital projects. Responsibilities Project Management Manage and/or participate in capital projects. Ensure projects are clearly defined and accurately managed for on-time, on-budget delivery. Develop project scope, objectives, and timelines. Coordinate project activities and communicate progress to stakeholders. Monitor project budgets and expenditures, ensuring financial accountability. Engineering and Construction Management Perform process and mechanical engineering tasks. Oversee construction management activities. Ensure technical specifications are met and quality standards are maintained. Resource Planning and Management Organize and plan resources for projects and technical support. Manage external engineering resources, as appropriate, per project. Optimize resource allocation to maximize project efficiency and effectiveness. Safety and Continual Improvement Actively support building a safe and continual improvement culture. Lead by example within the area of responsible care. Comply with responsible care minimum requirements. Participate in EHSQ programs, including safety training, incident reporting, and safety walks. Compliance and Policy Adherence Ensure conformity to company policies and procedures. Adhere to site health, safety, security, and environmental regulations. Professional Development and Collaboration Support Site Toledo’s development along the Perstorp Careway. Achieve Project Manager GTI objectives agreed annually. Perform/support other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management. Support other employees as necessary in a team effort. Education And Experience Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Process, Chemical or I&E Engineering required. Minimum 5 years’ experience manufacturing position in a chemical plant or refinery preferred. Root Cause Investigation experience preferred (i.e., Cause Mapping, Taproot, 5-Why). Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Projects). Competencies Demonstrated organized and structured work management and planning skills. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to implement process improvement from concept through project completion (project management skills). Effectively communicate using multiple forms of communication including virtual. Basic mechanical aptitude. Ability to work under minimal supervision and effectively manage multiple/changing priorities. Work Environment This position operates indoors as well as outdoor setting up to 50% of the time in a manufacturing environment and exposed to all weather elements, heat, cold, dirt, dust, vibrations, odors/unpleasant smells, loud noises, and chemicals. Routinely uses office equipment such as computers, phones, scanners, and other typical office equipment. Routinely in contact with others (face to face, by telephone, computer or otherwise). Physical Requirements Ability to perform in an active office environment, including the ability to complete paperwork, work on a computer, handle filing and office equipment and change activities frequently. Prolonged periods of sitting/standing at a desk and working on a computer. Maintain a stationary position (sit, stand), walk, move, bend, stoop, kneel or crouch, climb or balance, and maneuver stairs, ladders, and machinery. Use of hands to finger and reach with hands and arms for extended periods of time. Ability to work at heights. Mobility required to access all areas on-site and navigate/operate in close quarters, small rooms, narrow aisles, and passageways. Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds at times repetitively.
