The Sr. Solution Architect is part of the Build/Delivery tower within ACR Technology Services (ACRTS) and is responsible for delivering advanced software solutions to the ACR companies' User Communities. This role has strong knowledge of ACR's business processes and the systems that support them and utilizes this information to deliver IT solutions. This role requires deep subject matter expertise in varying ERP systems and their financial modules and complimentary systems, and business processes including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and General Ledger for the Manufacturing and Distribution Industry. The Sr. Solution Architect serves as primary point of contact for all systemic behaviors for their assigned business function areas. In addition to supporting the existing technology stack, this position will be a key contributor in shaping the future technology stack including cloud, digital transformation, hybrid solutions, and integrating systems of engagement, systems of record and systems of insight required to run defined business processes. The person in this position anticipates, researches, formally plans, and educates others on information technology trends of their assigned focus area. This role works in tandem with a Business Analyst assigned to their same focus area. The Sr. Solution Architect works with their Business Analyst to understand the major initiatives and future plans of the respective departments and works to prepare IT systemic support for those that will require it. The Sr. Solution Architect, together, with a Business Analyst identify the benefits and risks while effectively communicating the value and opportunity of varying processes and emerging technologies. The Sr. Solution Architect role is techno/functional and requires a business-savviness as well as knowledge of technologies - this role understands 'how systems think' and is responsible for the systemic technical soundness of all planned system designs within their business area's related system architecture.
GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Communicates complex information in easily understandable waysUnderstands business processes and constraints for assigned business functionsLeads users in road mapping, requirements definition, and solution deliveryAnalyzes business problems and processes, develops alternative solutions and improvements and presents recommendations to project teams and business customersMaintains awareness of business data, industry standards and regulatory requirements for assigned business areasComplies with development, quality and operational standards and methodologies including SDLCExecutes and oversees the technical delivery of custom development, integrations, data migration, and testing elements of implementations including specificationsGenerates functional and technical documentationSupports the creation, execution, and oversight of test plansTrains trainers as well as end users on software releasesMentors and supports interns and departmental colleagues in their developmentOther responsibilities as assigned
PRODUCT MANAGEMENT DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Drives the technical strategy and roadmap development for the product management tower in the following business areas:
HRFinance
Maintains proficiency in analytical skills and stays up to date in knowledge of internal ERP applications (S2K, CMS) and development toolsParticipates in project team meetings and follows project plans and project reporting requirementsSupports other integrated ERP bolt-on applicationsOther duties as assigned
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
8+ years business applications or related work experience requiredStrong consultative customer engagement and influencing skills across functional groups.Experienced with change management and process improvement skillsSDLC and both Waterfall and Agile software delivery methodologies (i.e. - Scrum) experience.8+ years of business analysis or super-user experience with ERP systems in a distribution or manufacturing environmentProficient in the functionality, development toolset, system architecture and system setups of ERP, Reporting Tools, and ERP bolt-onsComfortable on IBM iSeries AS400 and SQL server with strong SQL KnowledgeAbility to describe complex problems and solutions in simple or understandable termsDemonstrates both strong analytic and big picture capabilities in problem solving approachesAbility to consider upstream and downstream process impacts and implicationsAbility to establish and manage priorities in a high change environmentProven ability to execute swiftly without compromising quality
Demonstrates technical acumen, business acumen, strong communication skills and professional maturity in representing the department in business discussions
