Job Description:
Global Risk Analytics (GRA) and Enterprise Independent Testing (EIT) are sub-lines of business within Global Risk Management (GRM). Collectively, they are responsible for developing a consistent and coherent set of models, analytical tools, and tests for effective risk and capital measurement, management and reporting across Bank of America. GRA and EIT partner with the Lines of Business and Enterprise functions to ensure the capabilities it builds address both internal and regulatory requirements, and are responsive to the changing nature of portfolios, economic conditions, and emerging risks. In executing its activities, GRA and EIT drive innovation, process improvement and automation.
The Test Automation team is responsible for developing Regulatory Risk and Compliance testing Automation and this specialist will be required to understand test requirements and data flows and implement corresponding tests in Python. As part of the implementation, the focus will be on the development of modular, re-usable testing algorithms and leveraging machine learning techniques to enable data driven test population identification.

Role Overview:
As an Automation Specialist, main responsibilities will involve:
Developing testing automation that provide timely, useful, and actionable independent insight on the operational health of Bank of America's processes.
Work closely with process owners in the Front-Line Units and Control Functions (FLUs/CFs) to obtain an understanding of their processes, including underlying data, flows, and controls, and to identify risks to successful execution, so that appropriate testing and monitoring can be developed.
The processes to be assessed span across multiple Products, Regulations and Enterprise Processes. The outputs of the methodologies will be used to drive process improvements and timely detection and reporting of errors.
The role requires being able to document and verbally explain the intuition and details behind the methodologies in a manner that is clear, concise, and consumable for a broad set of audiences that include key stakeholders across the Bank, as well as auditors and regulators.
The Test Tools and Automation specialist will then convert the test requirements into automated tests via Python and SQL. They will also be leveraging machine learning techniques to enable data driven testing approaches.
Enabling automatic test document generation from code
Leverage SDLC/Agile development, understand Coding standards and best practices.

Required Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degrees or above in fields including but not limited to: Data Science, Business Analytics, Business Management, Mathematics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering or related subjects
2+ years of relevant work experience

Technical Skills:
Prior Knowledge of Python and SQL
Working knowledge of relational database and familiarity with data analysis/ mining tools, prior exposure to working with large dataset beneficial
Technical Experience in object-oriented or functional software development

Desired Skills:
Experience using large data tooling including Hadoop and S3 as well as Spark and Trino
Experience building unit and integration tests with Pytest

Job Description:
The Test Tools & Automation Specialist II conducts a variety of tasks in support of the Enterprise Independent Testing teams platform management and operation.

Key responsibilities:
Include business analyst work, documentation, project management, support, and operational work.

This role applies technical and business knowledge to identify, research, analyze and resolve complex problems. May sometimes participate in design, development and implementation of enhancements to our technologies and/or processes. Works under supervision on special projects requiring creative solutions.

In this role, you will participate in multiple special projects, and occasionally lead special projects. A specialist II will begin to develop leadership skills by developing junior staff through coaching and guidance with light hands-on supervision from management to complete deliverables.
