The Center for Advanced Studies in Business, Inc. (CASB) is an independent 501(c)(3) organization affiliated with the Wisconsin School of Business (WSB). CASB provides non-credit continuing education and consulting to businesses and professionals in the process of a transition. CASBs mission is to provide customers with the skills and resources to make business transformation and professional transition successful. CASB is the term applied to the non-profit entity. The public face of CASB is called the Center for Professional and Executive Development or CPED which is used for all marketing purposes.

Position Summary The IT Technical Service Specialist is an exciting and dynamic role that will allow you to use your experience and insight to implement change across our organization. This role will often be the face of IT as the first line of support for all end users. The ability to learn multiple technologies and take on a variety of support tasks is critical to this position. As the IT Technical Service Specialist, you will be interacting daily with end users at all levels of the organization; strong communication skills are a must. The position primarily reports to the Manager of Information Technology, however, as a small team, the Director of Technology and People will also play a role in supervision. The IT Technical Service Specialist role is remote but has expectations for onsite work at The Fluno Center in Madison, WI for device management and on-site support an average of 1 to 2 days a week. Work outside of core business hours is minimal, and there is no on call. This position has tremendous room for growth and subsequent promotion with career paths to Associate Systems Administrator and higher-level related roles resulting from growth in skills and acquisitions of certifications for relevant technology systems. Position Responsibilities Participate in the design and implementation of solutions to meet internal customer requirements. Assist in deploying systems, upgrading, and performing general maintenance and repair on IT systems and devices to ensure continued security, availability, reliability, and functionality. Provide level one support: Monitor, manage, diagnose, and resolve multi-system problems related to virtual, hardware, and/or ancillary software programs. Document system configuration, installations, and maintenance processes. Perform data imports in NetSuite Assist in maintaining an accurate inventory of IT supported systems and tools. Create and deliver training materials for technology tools. Oversee the technology onboarding process for new employees and offboarding process. Become a trusted Super User for software applications used in program delivery. Oversee and maintain the M365 administration environment Maintain user devices, peripherals, shared devices, and licensing Administer the M365 environment and device management Deploy Azure virtual desktops as needed for training

Qualifications The ability to work with insight, flexibility, and confidence in response to challenging and changing circumstances. Experience supporting the basic administration of MS Office, O365, and SharePoint. Experience supporting Zoom, Webex, and Canvas preferred. Experience working with end-users for support and service, including remote workers. Strong verbal and written communication skills with an ability to build relationships. Strategically minded with creative thinking skills and a high degree of professionalism. Excellent time-management and organizational skills and a problem-solving attitude with the ability to prioritize workload and provide timely responses to requests. Ability to work effectively and positively interact with staff, management, vendors, instructors, and participants Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, to work independently, and to work effectively as part of a team. Ability to self-manage duties and responsibilities A proactive approach to gaining new skills and learning new systems Minimum three years of experience supporting business technology platforms preferred.
