Position Overview: We are seeking a talented and customer-oriented Desktop Support Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers seeking technical assistance and support. You will provide timely and accurate resolution to their issues, ensuring a positive customer experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the initial point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance via phone, email, or in-person.
  • Provide first-level troubleshooting and issue resolution for hardware, software, and network problems.
  • Escalate complex issues to appropriate internal teams for further investigation and resolution.
  • Document all support interactions and resolutions in the help desk ticketing system.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to identify recurring issues and develop solutions to address them.
  • Assist with the setup, installation, and configuration of hardware and software for end-users.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of knowledge base articles and user guides.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in a help desk or technical support role.
  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux).
  • Familiarity with networking concepts and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST) a plus.
