Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Sr Manufacturing Engineer to be the primary point of contact with overseas suppliers, collaborate closely with design engineers, and lead the design, development, manufacturing, and sustenance of new products. The successful candidate will create test procedures, establish documentation processes for prototyping and testing, and manage manufacturers on production, assembly processes, and final product testing. This role involves leading various aspects of the manufacturing processes, developing structure and SOPs as needed, and working directly with engineering teams, suppliers, and customers to actualize the product vision.
Hard Skills
+ Experience in Manufacturing, Manufacturing Design, Quality or Product Design
+ Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA)
+ Technical translation between English and Mandarin for mechanical and electrical design and operations

Work Site
This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in San Francisco, California and some days remote.
Work Environment
The role requires in-person attendance 3 to 4 days a week in San Francisco, with flexibility for remote work on other days. The team consists of 13 members and operates in a co-working facility in Bernal Heights, San Francisco, which is equipped with offices, meeting pods, shop tools, and is shared with 2-3 other companies.
