Position Overview:

The senior systems engineer will participate in the development of risk management files, and traceability documentation for complex electro-mechanical software driven medical devices. The systems engineer will develop and decompose product requirements based on user needs. The systems engineer will have a base knowledge of standards and be able to assess gaps and requirements to fill the identified gaps. The engineer will serve on Engineering and Core Teams to define design inputs, to define test strategies, and to make sure open items are identified during team meetings. The systems engineer will ensure that development activities are compliant with internal development processes and regulatory requirements.

Job Duties:

  • Develop Risk Management file (including but not limited to; FMEAs, Hazard Analyses, and other risk assessment tools)
  • Develop Traceability Documentation
  • Develop Design Input Documents
  • Work with cross functional team members (e.g. Marketing, Service, and Clinical personnel) to translate user needs into system requirements and lead engineering resources (Electrical, Mechanical, and Software) in the decomposition of system requirements to derived requirements
  • Work with internal and external resources to be able to meet project and product needs
  • Develop and assist in development of engineering, verification, and validation testing methods and protocols
  • Guide other engineers in the use of systems engineering tools to support technical evaluation of R&D deliverables

Minimum Requirements:

  • BS in any Engineering discipline with experience in applying systems-thinking concepts and approaches to complex problems
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Must be organized and detail oriented
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

Salary range: $110k - $130k
