Job Description

SUMMARY

The Senior Customer Quality Engineer role is critical within Allegro's Quality organization. This position is the primary contact point for customer product quality concerns and claims for customer accounts. Lead problem-solving teams to problem resolution - ensure the use of quality tools such as Ishikawa, 5-why's, etc in customer reporting.

WHAT YOU"LL DO

  • Interface frequently with customer supplier quality engineers to support automotive OEMs as the voice of Allegro quality engineering
  • Effectively communicate product quality problem description
  • Lead problem-solving teams and drive the use of quality tools.
  • Coordinate root cause analysis of complex problems
  • Help define corrective actions for a wide range of product failure modes
  • Prepare customer reports and 8D corrective action reports to ensure clear explanation of root cause and corrective actions to Allegro customers
  • Support customer visits or customer audits of Allegro facilities, products, or processes
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Requires a bachelor's degree (Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Industrial Engineer, or related ) and a minimum of five years of related experience, preferably in the semiconductor industry
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal are essential
  • Public speaking is required
  • Experience with Automotive quality requirements is required
  • Experienced in problem solving and quality tools (8D method, 5-Why, Ishikawa)
  • Trained in AIAG Core tools
  • Must have expert working knowledge of core Quality tools such as SPC, FMEA, Problem solving methods, PDCA
  • Advanced skill using Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Occasional domestic and international travel
