Job Description

Select's Drilling Engineer plans, designs and manages projects.

The essential job functions include, but are not limited to:

Job Duties:
  • Undertakes technical and feasibility studies.
  • Collaborates with other professionals and discusses requirements with clients.
  • Uses computer programs to develop detailed designs.
  • Ensures that constructions meet legal guidelines and safety and environment requirements.

Requirements

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:
  • Recognized as expert in area of specialization
  • Oil and gas/ industrial experience (or related experience)
  • High motivated and focused
  • Self-sufficient; self-starter
  • Ability to work independently establish priorities and complete competing assignments within required time frames
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Must have a valid driver's license and be eligible to drive a company vehicle in accordance to Select's policies
  • Oil and gas operations beneficial

Physical Demands and Exposures

  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
