Our client, a leading healthcare organization dedicated to advancing patient care and safety, is looking for a contractSenior Technical Project Manager, Healthcare.This is a remote contract position.

Senior Technical Project Manager will be responsible for managing large-scale complex technical Healthcare projects from initiation to close-out. Leads the work of project team members by requesting and coordinating internal and/or external resources. Proactively monitors and identifies project risks, issues, and trigger events within and across projects. Ensures the alignment, buy-in, and coordination of project stakeholders. Assists with reviews of vendor performance levels and ensures service level agreements are met and assists with contract negotiations with vendors.

Ideal resource will have previous Healthcare Technical Project Management experience.

Contract Duration: 9-Months

Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent Project/Program Management Certification.
Lean/Six Sigma Certification.
BA/BS Degree or 4 years of additional experience required.

Functional Experience (Preferred):

Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience with a majority of the following:

Previous experience in a Healthcare environment specifically in medical center operations, health plan administration, project management.
Experienced in business analysis ideally in a Business Analyst specific role.
Experience managing operational or project budgets.
Experience working with advanced Excel functions including, formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.
Data analytics experience.
Experience working in a unionized environment.
Experience working in a matrixed organization.
Experience delivering presentations to management.
Experience delivering training programs.
Experience working for a Program Management Office (PMO) with inter-regional project management experience.
Experience managing vendor contracts and relationships.
Experience developing and validating business cases, including identifying value of investment projects.

Technical Experience (Preferred):

Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience with a majority of the following:

Experience working with collaboration software (e.g., SharePoint, MS Teams, etc.).
Experience working with database software (e.g., Access).
Experience working with data analysis software (e.g., Minitab, QI Macros, Tableau, etc.).
Other performance improvement certification (e.g., TQM, 8PM, etc.).
Experienced and comfortable delivering presentations to management.
Experience working with data extraction and manipulation language.
Regulatory experience.

What You Will Be Doing

Daily Responsibilities

Manages large-scale technical healthcare projects from initiation to close-out.

Ensures the alignment, buy-in, and coordination of diverse project stakeholders by building rapport with stakeholder teams, third party vendors, and senior management; and clarifying accountability and authority across stakeholders.
Manages and monitors project financials for large projects.
Monitors overall project performance (e.g., on time, on budget, within scope, and with quality) against plan, ensuring measurement of business benefits and outcomes, and makes adjustments as needed.
Manages project activities related to organizational change management (e.g., development and execution of user adoption, implementation, and training plans) as defined by the project. Drives allocation of resources, establishes schedules, and task assignments to ensure established project management practices are in place.
Develops cost benefit analyses for the project, communicates to an executive committee, creates and reports project status utilizing a dashboard, allocates resources, defines project governance policies and manages the financial concerns.
