Our client, a leading healthcare organization dedicated to advancing patient care and safety, is looking for a contract Senior Data Analyst, Healthcare. This is a remote contract position.

Senior Data Analyst will be responsible for identifying emerging trends in Health Insurance and Healthcare. This is an IC role that will primarily be responsible for driving strategic data-informed decisions, gathering data and information on target variables in an established systematic fashion, and preparing data for analytic efforts. This position drives the execution of creative data analytic approaches leading to actionable outcomes across functional areas, business and/or clinical lines, interprets complex data analyses, and leads the development of advanced analytical and/or statistical models enabling informed business decisions.

Contract Duration: 9-Months

Desired Skills & Experience Bachelors, Masters, or Doctorate degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Social/Physical/Life Science, Business, or related field. Oracle Business intelligence (OBI) EMC Data Science Associate (EMCDSA) Certified Authorization Professional (CAP), or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE). Accredited Project Management Certification (PMP).
Certification in one of the following (Preferred): Oracle Business intelligence (OBI), EMC Data Science Associate (EMCDSA), Certified Authorization Professional (CAP), or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE).
Functional Experience (Preferred):
Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience with a majority of the following:
Previous healthcare experience – ideally with pharmacy data analytics. Experience working with statistical analysis software. Statistical Modeling experience. Experience working with artificial intelligence tools. Experience working with business intelligence tools. Study design experience. Experience working in a matrixed organization. Experience in transition or change management implementation. Complex event modeling experience. Relational database experience. Server maintenance experience. Machine learning experience. Data simulation experience. Text analytics experience. Quality management and data profiling tools. Robotic process automation experience. Experienced and comfortable delivering presentations to management. Experience working with data extraction and manipulation language. Regulatory experience.
Technical Experience (Preferred):
Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience with a majority of the following:
Experience working with Cognos. Experience working with SQL. Experience working with SAS. Experience working with SPSS. Experience working with Excel. Experience working with Access. Experience working with Business Objects. Experience working with Tableau. Experience working with Open-Source Tools (i.e. R, Python).
What You Will Be Doing
Daily Responsibilities Interprets data analyses by applying findings to contextual settings and developing insights, reports, and presentations telling a compelling story to stakeholders to enable and influence decision making. Executes creative data analytic approaches leading to actionable outcomes by defining and calculating metrics to be analyzed. Defining, calculating, and validating algorithms and conducting analyses, including descriptive, correlational, inferential, and/or predictive statistics. Develops analytical and/or statistical models enabling informed business decisions by determining data and analytical requirements; creating models leading to actionable insights; and testing, refining, and validating models. Gathers data and information on targeted variables in an established systematic fashion by validating data sources; querying, merging, and extracting data across sources. Completing routine data refresh and update; developing and/or delivering tools for electronic data collection; and providing user training, support, and documentation. Drives strategic data-informed decisions by consulting with clients to identify and clarify key business needs, developing outcomes and process measures, translating business requirements, determining data/information needs and data collection methods.
