NEW ROLE: Accounting Manager (HYBRID) - Waltham, MA ????

Work Location: Remote or Hybrid (preferred - within driving distance of the Waltham, MA headquarters).

Rocketsuite is delighted to partner with a leading impact technology company within the food and beverage sector in their search for an Accounting Manager.

The Accounting Manager will report to the Corporate Controller and oversee the accounting department's activities with a focus on project accounting, fixed assets, and lease accounting. They will lead a small team of accounting professionals, improve processes and procedures, and play a vital role in the future accounting and finance infrastructure.

The Role:

  • Oversee project accounting, fixed assets, lease accounting, and other accounting functions.
  • Manage day-to-day accounting transactions and provide accounting guidance to staff on relevant transactions.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of monthly accounting close of respective accounting areas including journal entries, account reconciliations and flux analysis.
  • Prepare & review journal entries and account reconciliations where appropriate, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of accounting records.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and establish and document standard procedures.
  • Support system and application implementation, including project accounting module implementation.
  • Work with other business groups to ensure projects are accounted for accurately/completely.
  • Manage the lease accounting application and ensure completeness and accuracy of lease accounting.
  • Manage the fixed assets sub-ledger and ensure completeness and accuracy of fixed assets accounting.

The Candidate:

  • MBA or CPA Qualified.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of related accounting experience.
  • Big 4 experience is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP.
  • Ideally have direct experience with ASC 842 and ASC 360.
  • Experience with Oracle NetSuite and Lease Accelerator is a plus.

Salary: $120-150k base + bonus + Healthcare + 401k + Life Insurance
