Summary
As an Assistant Daycare Director, you will play a crucial role in the smooth operation and management of the daycare facility. Working closely with the Daycare Director, you will assist in overseeing all aspects of daily operations, ensuring the highest standards of care and safety for children enrolled in the daycare. Your responsibilities will include staff supervision, curriculum development, administrative tasks, and maintaining positive relationships with parents and the community.
Duties
Assist in Day-to-Day Operations Support the Daycare Director in managing daily operations, including scheduling, staff assignments, and classroom management.
Staff Supervision Provide guidance, support, and supervision to daycare staff, including teachers, assistants, and administrative personnel. Conduct regular staff meetings and training sessions to ensure adherence to daycare policies and procedures.
Curriculum Development -Collaborate with the Daycare Director and teaching staff to develop age-appropriate curriculum plans and educational activities that promote children's cognitive, social, and emotional development.
Childcare Quality Assurance:** Monitor the quality of childcare services provided, ensuring compliance with licensing regulations, safety standards, and best practices in early childhood education.
Parent Communication:** Maintain open and effective communication with parents, addressing any concerns or inquiries promptly and professionally. Organize parent orientation sessions, meetings, and events to foster positive relationships and community engagement.
Administrative Tasks:** Assist in administrative duties such as enrollment management, fee collection, record-keeping, and preparing reports as required by regulatory agencies or management.
Budget Management:** Support the Daycare Director in budget planning and management, including monitoring expenses, procurement of supplies, and resource allocation to ensure efficient operation within budgetary constraints.
Health and Safety Compliance:** Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including sanitation protocols, emergency preparedness procedures, and child protection policies.
Continuous Improvement Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance the quality of daycare services, staff performance, and overall satisfaction of children and parents.
Requirements
- The role may require flexibility in working hours to accommodate the needs of the daycare facility.
- Work environment may involve interaction with children, exposure to noise, and occasional lifting of heavy objects or equipment.
