Overview:
  • We are looking for candidates with experience supporting Federal Government contracting offices. This position supports the NASA Transformational Shared Services (NTSS) program in the Office of Procurement at the NASA Shared Services Center (NSSC) at Stennis Space Center (SSC) in Stennis, MS. Specifically these positions support the Information Technology Procurement Office (ITPO) on enterprise IT contract instruments.
  • This position is 100% remote.
Responsibilities:
  • Senior-level knowledge and experience in procurement practices and principles such as: soliciting, evaluating, negotiating and preparing contracts for award; administering contracts; and analyzing and evaluating cost and price proposals.
  • Apply comprehensive knowledge of concepts, processes, practices and procedures on technical assignments.
  • Highly skilled in using the systems that support procurement services.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 8 years of related federal government contracts experience required
  • Ability to gain and maintain a Public Trust background check
  • Experience with NASA procurement systems and financial systems are highly desired
Skills:
  • Senior level knowledge of federal government contracting principles, policies, and procedures.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to operate with minimal supervision to accomplish assigned tasks
  • Ability to assist and train more junior team members when required
  • Comfortable working with files on a SharePoint Site
  • Proficient and confidence working with Word, Excel, and/or PowerPoint for document preparation
  • Proficiency and confidence in learning and with working within IT systems and tools (some PC based; some NASA system based) and proactively reaching out to resolve any computer/systems/tools issues which are dependencies for completing work assignments.
  • Familiarity with the most commonly used systems/tools include Service Now (SNOW), System for Award Management (SAM), Federal Procurement Data System (FPDS), Contractor Performance Assessment Reporting System (CPARS), SAP Core Financial, and Procurement for Public Sector (PPS),
  • Actual experience working within a virtual team via telework. NASA principally uses Microsoft Teams for communications and collaboration
