The general function of a Lokal Homes Accountant is to perform accounting duties for assigned projects including: recording home closings, preparing journal entries, recording cash receipts, maintaining land / land development budgets.
The Accountant is also responsible for delivering an unrivaled customer experience to every Lokal Homes stakeholder including co-workers, auditors, vendors and other entities.
What You Will Do Each Day In This Role:
Perform accounting functions through preparation of financial statements and reconciliations
Assist in administering the accounts payables function
File and maintains accounting records
Assists Director of Accounting with monthly financial reports
Reconcile bank accounts, posts and balance general or subsidiary ledgers, processes payments and compile segments of monthly closings, periodic reports, etc.
Position is based in our Greenwood Village area office and will work onsite with our Accounting & Finance team

Required Experience:
Minimum 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in homebuilding or construction
High proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Experience with Newstar software highly preferred (this is a homebuilding program)
Base Salary Range $60,000 to $75,000 plus annual bonus opportunity. Excellent benefits including 17 days of PTO per year, Medical, Dental, Vision, Company Paid Disability & Life Insurance and 401k.
