We are seeking a Senior Server and Storage Engineer (Senior Systems Engineer) who is well-versed with Servers, Windows, Azure, AWS, Office 365, HyperV, and VMware.

The successful candidate must have a solid background in Physical and Virtual Infrastructure.

What you'll do:

As a Senior Systems Engineer, you'll represent the company by managing systems and cloud related projects, service events, incidents, and problems in the company ITSM and monitoring systems. Hands on design and architecture of our Clients' production on-premise and cloud-based systems. This critical role is accountable for analyzing and managing Client service incidents and/or events as a technical escalation point to ensure that world class service and support is provided to customers at contracted service levels.

Your Responsibilities

  • Work as part of the Corserva Managed Services team, supporting IT solutions across the customer-specific technology stacks, including HPE, Dell, Microsoft, VMware, Citrix, Veeam, Azure Backup, and Datto.
  • Design, implementation, and support of medium to large deployments of Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Active Directory, Windows Server, Hyper-V, VMware, SAN/NAS/DAS, and supporting physical and virtual infrastructure.
  • Senior technical escalation resource for client on-premise or cloud based systems issues.
  • Technical ownership of Client Email and Cloud migration or hybrid deployment projects
  • Configuration, testing, maintenance, and escalation support for Client Patch Management operations
  • Respond, investigate, evaluate, and resolve system alerts and complex customer service requests
  • Monitoring and support relating to hardware systems, storage, and networks
  • Remote access solution configuration and support: VPN, RDS, VDI, and Citrix.
  • Provide senior level support services for virtualization technologies: VMware, Microsoft, Citrix, and KVM
  • Take part in escalation and service review meetings as a subject matter expert (SME)
  • Drive problem investigations to resolution as required per service incident
  • Execute regular proactive maintenance of managed systems devices
  • Administer and manage remote monitoring and management platforms
  • Adherence to change management protocols for implementation of all maintenance to systems and cloud infrastructure and proper documentation of all changes
  • Communicate with internal and customer technical teams regarding changes, alerts, problems, root cause analysis, and documentation
  • Contribute to customer business reviews by assessing customer environments and service history
  • Ensuring that risks are identified, communicated, and mitigated to the customer
  • Maintain expert-level working knowledge of our products and service offerings to customers
  • Participate in on-call rotation for escalation of high-priority issues or is support of critical project work
  • Achieve and maintain IT industry certifications as deemed necessary by leadership team
Additional Responsibilities
  • Identify areas for improvement and make constructive suggestions for change
  • Continually seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen customer relationships
  • Ensure consistency of existing systems by following standards and procedures
  • Communicate escalated issues to customers: keeping them informed of progress, notifying them of impending changes etc.
  • Business awareness: specific knowledge of the customer and maintain systems standards and security configurations in direct alignment to their business strategy and goals
  • Document internal processes and procedures related to duties and responsibilities to create SOP reference material
  • Responsible for entering all time and expenses in ITSM as it is incurred as internal or client work
  • Review IT publications and online materials to remain up-to-date with current and future technologies emerging in the industry
  • Occasional after-hours work is required as scheduled or for urgent support escalation requests from NOC
Qualifications

About You:
  • A candidate with a track record within the Enterprise IT or IT Service Provider industry demonstrating a high-level of commitment to exceptional customer service and continuous improvement
  • Deep understanding of physical, virtual, and cloud infrastructure operations and monitoring
  • Experience in a technical lead role with the ability to oversee customer and internal technical engineering resources for project completion and success.
  • Familiarity with support tools, techniques, and firm understanding of how technology is used to provide and enhance IT services
  • Enjoy working with customers at all levels
  • Willingness to travel for client-based projects when required
  • Strong knowledge of ITSM applications and processes
  • Strong organizational, presentation, and customer service skills
  • Skill in preparing written communications and materials, especially in delivering technical information to customers in a manner that they are able to understand
  • Interpersonal skills: such as telephony skills, communication skills, active listening, and customer care
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-moving environment
Experience Recommendations:
  • BA/BS, preferably in computer science or a related field.
  • 5-10 years of systems or cloud professional experience required.
  • Professional IT Certifications, such as: Microsoft Certified Azure/365 Associate/Expert, MCSA/MCSE, VMWare VCP/VCA, Citrix CCA/CCEE/CCIA
  • Specific experience as a "hands on" senior-level technical resource maintaining systems and/or cloud infrastructure and/or implementing new deployment and upgrade projects.
