We are searching for a Food and Beverage Operations Manager who is an enthusiastic, engaging leader to support restaurant team members and ensure our guests have a memorable experience. Purpose

This position controls all operational aspects of the restaurant with a standard of achieving budgeted revenue goals, inventory control, quality control, staffing, team member development and training, positive guest satisfaction scores, and assigned administrative tasks.

Responsibilities
  • Provide genuine, warm service to all our guests throughout their dining experience; from greeting patrons and serving tables to suggesting and delivering dishes, drinks, and new menu items, to maintaining a welcoming environment.
  • Supporting all team members in the efficient and consistent delivery of performance goals through daily stand-up sessions.
  • Establishing and maintaining training and development programs for a high level of service.
  • Setting standards for cleanliness and on-going maintenance of our dining rooms and public spaces.
  • Managing all team members completion of daily opening, on-going, and closing side work responsibilities.
  • Maintaining various cash handling responsibilities.
  • Conducting product inventory procedures.
  • Assisting with various invoice coding and accounting procedures.
  • Writing and managing schedules around availability, time-off requests, in-times, out-times, and breaks, including covering breaks as needed.
  • Staying knowledgeable about our current menu choices, as well as any specialties.
  • Working with vendors to create innovative beverage menus.
  • Tending the bar, serving cocktails, and providing drink pairing recommendations as needed.
  • Working as a barista to prepare coffee and tea drinks as needed.
  • Acting as a cashier to process purchases and provide receipts and change as needed.
  • Supporting daily Hotel functions as they may arise, including In-Room Dining, guest welcome amenities, and other related tasks.
  • Following OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards and comply with all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Performing other duties as assigned by the Director of Food and Beverage or General Manager.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma; four-year degree or equivalent work experience is preferred.
  • Two years of experience as a Restaurant Assistant General Manager or General Manager.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Fluent in English - verbal and written, bilingual in Spanish a plus.
  • Flexibility of schedule is required. May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Ability to train, direct, supervise and hold staff accountable.
  • Experience reading and understanding various financial statements.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in basic Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to sit, walk, stoop, kneel and crouch for the duration of shift.
  • Ability to lift and/or move and/or push up to 25 pounds without assistance.
  • Valid or ability to acquire ServSafe Certification and City of Oshkosh bartender license.
