Description
Anew Dental & Orthodontics is a leading dental practice committed to delivering high-quality dental care to our patients. We pride ourselves on our exceptional team of professionals dedicated to creating a comfortable and friendly environment for our patients. We are currently seeking a highly organized dental assistant to join our team and contribute to the continued success of our practice.
This position will require travel to sister locations at: Lockport, Frankfort, Crest Hill, and Yorkville.
Schedule:
- Monday & Tuesday: 9:00am-6:00pm
- Wednesday: 9:00am-3:00pm
- Thursday: 7:00am-4:00pm
- Friday: 8:00am-3:00pm

- Assist the dentist during dental procedures by preparing treatment rooms, instruments, and materials
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment in compliance with infection control protocols
- Take and process dental X-rays, ensuring patient safety and accurate diagnostic outcomes
- Provide chairside assistance during dental procedures, anticipating the dentist's needs and ensuring patient comfort
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-treatment care, and preventive measures
- Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment details, in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Ensure a clean and organized treatment environment, restocking supplies, and equipment as necessary

Requirements
- 1 year of experience as a dental assistant required
- 1 year of orthodontic experience is required
- Coronal polishing is preferred
- Familiarity with Dentrix, or other dental software systems preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members
Salary Description
up to $24/hour
