DescriptionReporting to the Vice President Sales/Strategic Accounts, the Business Development Manager has primary responsibility for promoting the breadth and depth of Colony Hardware products and services that customers buy from Colony across all locations. The Business Development Manager is also responsible for broadening our product offering at target accounts by leveraging existing successes and making the customer aware of our unmatched customer service and delivery capabilities.Primary Responsibilities:You will provide product demonstrations to small and large groups, hold training seminars, and participate in trade events independently and in partnership with outside sales reps, vendors, and customers.Identify, qualify, and acquire new customers via phone, referrals, trade shows, your existing network and through new networking opportunities.Responsible for promoting all products through various methods such as social media and marketing initiatives.Operating in a consultative fashion, you will act as a true solution provider to customers and their evolving needs. These could be general contractors, subcontractors, professionals in the maintenance industry, and more.From day-to-day, you will meet with owners and executives, safety managers, superintendents, project managers, engineers, contractors, and other key players with buying influence in the construction space in order to educate them on safety product offerings. This means your office might be your vehicle, a construction site, a job trailer, a power plant, or a corporate office.Frequent contact with new and existing customers to discuss needs, improve service, strengthen relationships and gain additional wallet-share in coordination with local sales.You will coordinate vendor trade events with the local Colony branches across your territory of responsibility in order to develop the safety category within our local branches.To maximize success, you will work to seamlessly integrate regional-and-company-wide safety initiatives and product-specific goals into your strategy.Stay current with trends and new products that can help enhance our business.We Can Offer You:We value performance that exhibits a high sense of urgency, coupled with attention to detail and a strong customer service orientation We also care about the welfare of our employees, which is why our salary and benefits are competitive.
