Position Summary:The Business Development Agent (BDA) is the individual within the sales team who is responsible for creating, cultivating, and maintaining new business opportunities. They use a variety of methods including networking, cold calling, and social media to connect with referral partners and clients.

Primary Duties:As the Business Development Agent( BDA), you will play an active role in the evolution and growth of our business.Your focus will be building out and carrying strategic initiatives meant to bring new clients to the table. You will spend most of their day out of the office meeting people within the industry, such as but not limited to:

  • Real Estate Agents
  • Financial Planners
  • Attorneys (Divorce Attorneys, Closing Attorneys, Elder Law)
  • Title Agents
  • Insurance Providers
  • Banks /Credit Unions
  • Property Managers
  • Builders
  • Human Resource Departments
  • Relocation Companies
  • Clients
Knowledge and Skills:We seek a colleague who is an entrepreneurial self-starter and who has the ability to handle multiple tasks in a highly organized manner. Flawless attention to detail, Successful candidates will possess the following:

  • Knowledge of the Real Estate and Mortgage Industries
  • Personable and able to display high levels of customer service
  • Stays up to date with industry changes

  • Willing to seek out needs of others and meet them
  • Adds value, Builds Trust and ASKS for the BUSINESS
  • Consistent with follow-up and doesn't allow relationships to go COLD
  • Enjoys teaching and talking in front of a crowd such as Lunch and Learns and Broker Meetings
BDR will report every Friday:

  1. How many appointments, events or seminars attended
  2. Number of conversations
  3. Number of leads generated


Requirements: This position doesn't require a Mortgage Loan Officer License. This BDA will not take a loan application (1003) or discuss rates with any prospective consumer or industry participant. Applicant must be willing to complete the pre-employment background process.

Physical Demands

In terms of an 8-hour workday, "occasional" equals 1% to 33%, "frequent" equals 34% to 66%, and "continuous" equals 67% to 100%. However, some duties are performed monthly, annually, or sporadically throughout the year and are essential functions. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions of the position.
  • Continuous remaining in a stationary position, particularly, but not limited to, at a desktop computer
  • Continuous repetitive use of hands/arms; particularly concerning to typing, writing, phone & computer use
  • Continuous communication: verbal and written, in-person, phone and electronic
