Required Certifications and Licenses: Active NJ RN License or Multistate RN License with NJ Endorsement BLS certification through American Heart Association Fluent in EKG reading and monitoring Must have background in Cardiac Care Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing Essential Functions: Must provide compassionate and supportive environment with prompt and consistent service. Must maintain confidentiality & professionalism with families, visitors, physicians, and colleagues. Supports teamwork by cooperative problem solving through participation in meetings and projects. Utilizes principles of continuous quality improvement in all work situations to assess, measure and improve organizational and department functions. Makes decisions that are timely and consistent with department objectives, policies and procedures. Formulates an exercise prescription and nursing plan of care for assigned patients based on patient problems, patient abilities, patient age, nursing interventions and specific patient outcomes. Demonstrates physical ability to perform and assist patient in the use of cardiac rehab exercise equipment.
