Required Certifications and Licenses:
- Active NJ RN License or Multistate RN License with NJ Endorsement
- BLS certification through American Heart Association
- Fluent in EKG reading and monitoring
- Must have background in Cardiac Care
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
Essential Functions:
- Must provide compassionate and supportive environment with prompt and consistent service.
- Must maintain confidentiality & professionalism with families, visitors, physicians, and colleagues.
- Supports teamwork by cooperative problem solving through participation in meetings and projects.
- Utilizes principles of continuous quality improvement in all work situations to assess, measure and improve organizational and department functions.
- Makes decisions that are timely and consistent with department objectives, policies and procedures.
- Formulates an exercise prescription and nursing plan of care for assigned patients based on patient problems, patient abilities, patient age, nursing interventions and specific patient outcomes.
- Demonstrates physical ability to perform and assist patient in the use of cardiac rehab exercise equipment.
