As a Staff Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining accurate financial records, performing various accounting tasks, and supporting the overall financial operations of the company. Duties/Responsibilities Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Assist in month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting. Conduct reconciliations of bank accounts, general ledger accounts, and intercompany accounts. Maintain the chart of accounts and ensure adherence to accounting policies and procedures. Support the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial projections. Process accounts payable transactions, including vendor invoice verification, coding, and timely payment. Monitor accounts receivable, follow up on outstanding payments, and coordinate with customers for collections. Prepare and review sales invoices, credit memos, and billing statements. Reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable ledgers to ensure accuracy. Assist in variance analysis and provide insights on financial performance. Prepare various financial reports, including profitability analysis, cost analysis, and sales reports. Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis to support decision-making processes. Inventory Management: Collaborate with the inventory team to ensure accurate tracking and valuation of inventory. Assist in periodic inventory counts and reconciliations. Analyze inventory levels, identify discrepancies, and propose solutions for improvement. Assist in the preparation of supporting schedules and documents for internal and external audits. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies. Assist in the implementation of internal control procedures to safeguard company assets. All duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements, Abilities And Expectations Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Previous experience as a Staff Accountant or in a similar accounting role. Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle). Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data analysis functions. Excellent numerical aptitude and attention to detail. Ability to analyze financial data and generate meaningful insights. Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team environment. Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks. Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
