The Role:

Experienced Associates with our State & Local Tax (SALT) practice serve on various engagement teams that support a wide range of clients, ranging from Fortune 500 companies to venture-backed startups.

Experienced Associates can expect to:

  • Prepare complex state and local income tax returns;
  • Engage in the tax planning, consulting and controversy process for multiple clients;
  • Conduct research to remain current with legislative changes;
  • Draft memoranda and additional client deliverables; and
  • Assist with the preparation of Nexus Studies.
  • Receive formal State & Local tax training, on the job training, direct feedback from top tax leaders, and the opportunity to pursue additional training through internal and external resources.
The Requirements:
  • 1+ year of relevant experience
  • Bachelors and/or relevant advanced degree;
    • Accounting, Finance, Economics or related (Preferred)
    • Minimum GPA: 3.0.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities;
  • Self-starter with the initiative to seek out opportunities and ability to work successfully in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment;
  • Ability to interact with various levels of client and firm management through both written and verbal communication; and
  • Proficient use of technology.
