SUMMARY

Insight Global is looking for a Regional Sales Manager to work for a leading semiconductor power supplier. This position will be sitting out of the Midwest Region and can sit in either Ohio, Michigan, Greater Chicago or Greater Milwaukee areas. This person will mainly be responsible for growing revenue in their assigned region by managing and owning all aspects of sales and support activities.

They will be responsible for prospecting and penetrating new and existing accounts, being heavily focused on growing the account base, and will oversee 3 reps as well. This position includes travel to the sites in their region (could be 1-2 nights/week for 3-4 weeks in a 2 month span) where they are meeting with many customers and distributors. This is a full time permanent opportunity with a starting base salary range between $140-160k depending on experience as well as a Sales Incentive Plan. Other benefits include medical benefits, health savings and flexible spendings accounts, company matched 401k, tuition reimbursement, as well as paid vacation, paid sick time and paid holidays.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
  • 5+ years of technical account management/sales experience selling power solutions (semiconductor preferred, but any power experience is okay)
  • Proven experience selling and/or supporting a variety of high-tech accounts, primarily in the industrial and medical markets (also helpful to have experience with the computer, semiconductor, or storage markets)
  • Experience working with manufacturers reps and distribution channels
  • Ability to quantify and confirm the business opportunity that a specific customer represents and can prioritize that appropriately
  • Can build cross-departmental customer support teams and partnerships (applications, engineering, quality, marketing, sales, operations)
  • Ability to communicate effectively with multiple levels of personnel, from the individual buyer up to the executive level, both internally and externally
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
