The Scheduling Representative is an essential member of the customer care team. We've shared some highlights below, but you can visit the benefits guide posted on our careers page to learn moreComprehensive medical insurance optionsEmployer-paid benefits including dental, vision, life, and short-term disability insuranceRetirement program with generous company default contribution and matchGenerous PTO program starting at 18 days annually16 paid holidays, including 3 floating holidaysPaid parental leaveStudent loan forgiveness eligibility, including Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF), HRSA, and moreInterested in learning more about this role?Please see below for a summary of job responsibilities and qualificationsReceive incoming telephone calls in a prompt, courteous, and professional mannerAccurately assess the needs of incoming callers by verifying caller identity, the goal of the call, and to whom the call should be transferred to for quick resolutionAppropriately determine the callers scheduling needs by reviewing the electronic health record system informationUtilize the CNS Healthcare scheduling module to schedule appointments for persons served for providers and servicesSchedule transportation services for persons served as neededMonitor the scheduling voicemail and inbox to ensure proper follow-up and scheduling of any servicesAssist clinical staff by providing notifications of scheduling updates for individuals as appropriate including, but not limited to; transition protocols, authorizations, etc.Follow-up on assigned tasks including, but not limited to; missed appointment rescheduling, scheduling follow-up calls, etc.Review and update information in electronic health record system as neededMaintain knowledge and compliance with established policies and procedures, HIPAA standards, and other regulatory programs.Ensure that the CNS Healthcare customer care standards of service are applied to interactions with individuals served, guests, and staffReference and maintain up-to-date relevant agency resources to ensure appropriate call handling including, but not limited to; calendars, office schedules, program directories, and team rostersProvide coverage and support of other customer care team functions as neededPerforms other related duties as assignedQualifications:RequiredHigh School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)A minimum of 1 year of experience in an office settingPassion for providing an unparalleled customer service experience in a dynamic and diverse work environmentProficiency in word processing, data entry, and telephone skillsAbility to be forward thinking and take initiative to accomplish goals and objectivesAbility to use discretion and judgment when handling matters of a sensitive or confidential natureAbility to work collaboratively and build positive working relationshipsAbility to contribute to an inclusive environment that recognizes the value and contributions of all persons regardless of race, ethnicity, national origin, gender, religion, age, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, or disabilityValid and unrestricted Driver's LicenseTransportation or Automobile accessibility with current automobile/vehicle insurance meeting agency policy requirementsPreferredExperience working in a medical office settingExperience working with individuals with behavioral health and substance use disordersExperience with Microsoft Office productsExperience with electronic health records (EHRs)BilingualAbout CNS Healthcare:CNS Healthcare (CNS) is a non-profit, Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) with seven clinics and two clubhouses in Southeastern Michigan.
