The Electrical Engineer position is for Exyte's ATF Semiconductor Tool Install Engineering Group. The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for assigning electrical points of connection for all tools in the client's schedule and managing panel loading for the electrical system.

Explore your tasks and responsibilities

  • Must be able to understand client design requirements, calculating voltage drop, sizing circuit breakers, and sizing conductors.
  • Coordinates with disciplines in the preparation and development of the deliverables and ensuring those other disciplines' inputs are incorporated
  • Assists in providing specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise
  • Assists in developing studies and design procedures to facilitate high-quality cost-effective work by discipline team
  • Coordinates with the project team and other disciplines as well as other design offices
  • Assists in the development of conceptual design, preliminary design and final design documents which would include calculations related to sizing and selecting of these systems, the development of power diagrams, layout of electric equipment, electrical system control and the like
  • Other duties as assigned
  • This is an onsite position with the candidate working in our Boise, ID office and project site location 5 days a week.

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required
  • Passed Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam preferred
  • 2+ years of experience
  • Autodesk Building Systems Software
  • Nation Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) Record preferred
  • Basic knowledge of codes and common industry standards related to the design of industrial and manufacturing facilities and systems
  • Good time management skills, strong work ethic and attention to details
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be a strong team player with an ability to build effective working relationships with individuals, department leads, and client representatives
  • Energetic and self-motivated
  • Works to build and maintain positive and productive working relationships both internal and external
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to mentor and train junior staff

  • Semi-conductor experience is preferred but not required.
