Senior Tax Manager (CPA) - $150K/year

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Tax Manager to join our team and contribute to the management of tax matters related to a major residential portfolio valued at approximately $7 billion in assets under management (AUM). This role offers competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, and the opportunity to work with a dynamic team in the real estate investment industry.

Responsibilities

Assume primary day-to-day responsibility for all tax matters related to the residential portfolio. Manage engagements with third-party tax preparers for K-1 and tax return preparation and deadlines. Review federal, state, and local tax returns and K-1s across a wide spectrum of entity types. Lead special projects and contribute to strategic planning efforts, including mergers and acquisitions planning and IRS, state, and local audits. Review quarterly and annual REIT compliance and provision for income taxes.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. CPA or equivalent experience required. Minimum of 7 years of tax experience, preferably in a corporate tax department. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines. Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in tax research and analysis. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and interact with senior management.
