Job Description
+ Develop designs for electronic, electro-mechanical, or mechanical equipment.
+ Prepare basic data, make preliminary layouts, sketches, and notes to present design proposals.
+ Investigating design factors like manufacturability, material availability, and cost considerations, ensuring designs meet contractual specifications.
+ Coordinate with other teams during design development, create complex assemblies, and ensure all layouts and drawings meet clarity, completeness, and accuracy standards.
Required Skills
+ Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering or similar
+ Power Delivery, utility or electrical design experience is preferred
+ Experience with AutoCAD or similar design software
+ Proven experience in Problem-solving, Effective Communication, Judgment in Resolving Problems, Routine Recommendations/Feedback
Work Site
+ This is a hybrid position requiring 2-3 days on-site in WALLED LAKE, MI and ability to work remote for remaining days.
Work Environment
+ The role entails spending about 10%-20% of the time conducting field inspections and 60%-80% on engineering and developing design packages for construction crews.
+ Administrative tasks, planning, and customer follow-up will occupy about 10% of your time.
+ You will spend 2-3 days per week in the office, with the option to work remotely on other days.
+ Candidates must be comfortable working both in the field and office settings, be able to lift 20 pounds, walk up to 2 miles on unpaved surfaces, and provide their own reliable transportation.
