FLSA Classification: Non-exemptReports to: VP OperationsWork Location: RemoteSummary:Manages each loan file from conditional approval to clear to close by acting with urgency and communicating frequently and effectively with customers, loan officers, and other members of the operations team, to move loans through the pipeline as efficiently as possible.Duties and Responsibilities:Performs a general evaluation of each application to ensure the loan file meets the minimum standards for submission to underwritingResponsible for managing each loan file from conditional approval to clear to close meeting established SLAs within the operations teamCommunicates loan documentation requests with the borrower via email and over the phoneReviews file documentation and ensures all items received are accurate and are accurately represented on the loan applicationCorrects mistakes and makes updates to the loan application throughout the processOther duties as assignedRequirementsQualifications: Proven experience as a mortgage loan processor or similar mortgage positionBasic understanding of loan guidelines and underwriting proceduresStrong work ethic with an attention to detailExcellent written and oral communication skillsThe ability to excel in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
