General Summary The Customer Service Representative (CSR) will engage in all customer service activities including responding to inquiries, processing orders, and data entry/reporting. Other duties include clerical duties, handling phone calls, greeting visitors, and handling customer complaints in a courteous and professional manner. Essential Duties & Responsibilities The intent of this job description is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by employees in this job. Employees may be requested to perform job-related tasks other than those specifically presented in this description. Duties To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of these duties and additional duties, as assigned, satisfactorily: Input data into warehouse management systems, check inventory for product availability and create orders. Communicate with carriers, vendors, and customers regarding shipment status. Perform record-keeping functions such as maintaining files on shipping schedules, routes, customer orders, manifests, bills of lading, damaged products, etc. Generate all related paperwork and necessary information for customer orders and check orders for special requests. Reports customer feedback to management including any signs of customer dissatisfaction. Other duties as assigned. Requirements MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Required Education And Experience A high school diploma or equivalent required. 1 or more years of related customer service experience preferred. Willingness to work 5 days, 8 hour shifts totaling a 40 hour work week (Mon-Fri). One (1) to three (3) years’ experience in warehouse logistics/transportation preferred. Competencies For Successful Performance Of Job Duties Knowledge of: MS Word and MS Excel. Skill in: Communication (including both written and verbal format) to understand and address customer orders and issues. Listening to customers to understand their needs and deliver an experience that satisfies their needs. Ability to: Work with customers to arrive at a mutually acceptable solution when the need arises. To work general office hours Mon-Fri each week.
